History

The first years
Two of the company's founders, Jens and Søren Rasmussen, grew up in the wind turbine industry. Their father was one of the first wind turbine manufacturers in Denmark, which gave the family a natural and professional focus on the technology and operation of wind turbines.

In 1998-2000 – during the Danish wind turbine boom – Jens and Søren purchased their first wind turbines together with their father. At this time, their father had left the manufacturing industry and had chosen to apply his knowledge to investments.

Investments in Germany
The successful investments whetted their appetite to make similar investments abroad, and in 2003, Jens and Søren Rasmussen began investing in the German wind turbine market.

On the German market the brothers had met with Jakob Kirkegaard Kortbæk, Lawyer, who had acted as an agent for wind turbines on the German market for years.

These tree are the current joint owners of Eurowind Energy A/S.
The core business is investment in European wind turbine projects.
